Got Puppies???

Taylor talked us into a puppy. So over the weekend we started looking into what type. We came across Odie from Garfield. He is a Daschund and Terrier mix. I researched different Terriers and found out how great they are but its a lot of money for a pure breed dog. We do not need a pure breed dog. So I started searching for a Daschund terrier mix. I called the SPCA on Monday morning and they had just got in two Daschund terrier mix puppies. They were the only puppies they had. So we got there at 1:30 after waiting very impatiently for daddy to get home. Of course we fell in love immediately!! As we were waiting in front of the puppies more people were coming to see. If we had got there 2 minutes later we wouldn't have our new additions!

The kids were so excited!!

This is Zoey. She is 8 weeks old! She is so sweet and cuddly. A little princess.

This is Max. He is all boy!! Very playful and just as sweet as can be.

So we went in for one but left with 2!!! We just didn't have the heart to split them up.

Bo

So this is Bo. He is our 2 year old cat. Bill decided that the kids needed a cat. Now we already had 2 cats that we have had since right after we got married. So yea, they are old. One cat Baby is the devil cat. The other one Prissy is scared of everything. So I cave and we go to a pet store and they have one kitten left. My idea of a kitten is very small. This little cat is small but not as little as I would like. Of course I am over ruled and we leave with Bell. Yes I said Bell. We think the cat is female and the untrained girl at the pet store says its a girl. It is Christmas time so we pick out the name Bell as in Jingle Bell. After about 2 weeks we realize Bell has something that girls should not have, anatomy 101, so Bell becomes Bo.

Bo is quite the cat. He loves the kids!! He wants to be where ever they are. He follows them around the neighborhood. Where ever you find the kids you find Bo. We noticed quickly that Bo does not sleep like a normal cat. He just falls over where ever he is and he is out. Bo cat or pillow...

He does not have a favorite person to sleep with. He just travels.

This is not even one of our kids!! But Bo doesn't care.

Bo invited himself to a sleepover. Like I said...where the kids are Bo is.

This is by far the coolest cat and if you can't tell very much loved!!

The unexpected

I made Ryan his appointment for this afternoon. At noon Taylor starts crying that her ear hurts. I try to make her an appointment but they are booked by now. So we get to Ryan's appointment and his rapid strep test comes back negative. I am really not believing it!! His throat looks really bad and the doctor agreed so we are sending off a culture. She checked Taylor out for me and what do you know Taylor has an ear infection. Go figure!! So Taylor is on an antibiotic, Ryan is hanging in there waiting to see what grows and me and Colin are wearing masks and gloves and sporting lysol!!

Dropping like flies

That would be my children. Taylor was sick on Monday and Tuesday. She had a fever, headache and stomach pains. Thankfully she is great today! So Ryan is the next to fall. Tuesday night Ryan said that his throat hurts. It is red, tonsils swollen and white patches. His fever came in the middle of the night. He will be going to the doctor's this afternoon. I really believe he has strep throat. I think me and Colin will be wearing masks for the next few days!!

4th of July

We went to Daytona for the 4th of July. It was a great weekend. Friday night the kids and Bill fished at Aunt Martha's house. Taylor caught a sting ray and the boys each caught a cat fish. They really had a great time with Daddy.

Mountains don't always move

My mountain did not move this week. I meet with the nursing director and I will not be starting in August. I will apply for the January start in a month. So I will continue to wait and pray that this is where I am supposed to be. I do not understand it and possibly never will. I have been under so much stress for the last 2 months. I do not wait very patiently. So I am not looking forward to waiting again. I will not find out till the end of October or early November about the January start.

I know God has a plan. I know God is in control. I know God's plan is perfect and mine is not. I know God is God no matter our circumstances. I pray that he gives me the peace to make it another 3 months of waiting on his timing.
